Applicants to this position must reside within a 90 mile radius of the property.
Coordinates arrangements for group meetings, private parties and special occasions by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate employees to ensure a positive guest experience through all phases of their function. To assist in meeting budgetary goals as it relates to revenue and cost percentages. Consults with representatives of client group or organization to plan details such as number of persons expected, display space desired, and food service schedule. Notifies various department heads of arrangements made. To maintain an ongoing daily trace file to ensure receipt by the hotel of the following dated items with the proper time frames: a. Signed BEO'S/contracts. b. Completed direct bill applications. c. Deposits. d. Guaranteeing credit cards. e. Attendance guarantees. To attend weekly sales meetings. To monitor all functions and to be accessible to banquet staff should they require assistance. To conduct assigned walk-in and new client or site room inspection, tours, inquiries and plan appointments daily. Process own contracts and correspondence. Prepare any special reports as assigned by the Director of Sales. Do off site sales calls as directed by the Director of Sales.
