|Position Description:||Director of Culinary Operations|
Having recently acquired Chevys Restaurants earlier this year, we are now looking for an individual to shape the culinary future of the brand. Working closely with the VP of Marketing and the Chevys President, you will play a key role in contributing to the evolution of the menu. In addition, you will ensure that food production, food quality, and food safety are executed at the highest levels. Specific key responsibilities will include:
-Quality Control: Ensure that food quality, freshness, and presentation reflect Chevys 'Fresh Mex' brand positioning. This role will also involve developing and maintaining a strong partnership with the Purchasing Department.
-Research & Development: Provide oversight to development of all food products; ensure that recipes are properly engineered to meet taste, presentation, and execution standards.
-Supervision: Oversee four Regional Food Supervisors to ensure that all kitchen systems are in place and properly executed in all restaurants. This includes ordering/receiving, food safety and quality, inventory control, labor management, and staffing and training.
-As part of the senior team, play an active role in the development and implementation of intermediate and long term strategies to drive increased guest counts, sales, and profitability.
This opportunity is available now and will be based in our regional office currently located in Emeryville and moving to Union City within the next several months.

-Minimum five years experience working as a corporate chef or equivalent in a multi-unit restaurant environment
-Demonstrated proficiency in the research, development, and implementation of new food products
-Strong working knowledge of food production and food safety in a full service restaurant environment
-Degree from an accredited culinary school
-Broad based knowledge of Mexican and Tex-Mex cuisine
