New York based lifestyle public relations agency seeking individual with minimum of 10 years experience to lead the culinary and spirits division. PR agency experience preferred. Must have strong culinary and lifestyle media contacts.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Directly manage media account teams by monitoring workload and assisting in "big picture" projects/ideas as necessary. - Create and maintain timeline and overall publicity strategy for new and ongoing clients; responsible for implementing these strategies through your own efforts and via your account teams by proper distribution of workload. - Implementing these strategies through your own efforts and via your account teams by proper distribution of workload. - Serve as lead agency liaison with clients on a daily basis; solve any issues or problems that arise. - Actively pitch to a variety of media including national tv, print and radio in addition to having intimate knowledge and contacts of all major lifestyle and food media. Ultimately responsible for results on each account according to objectives outlined in initial plan. - Maintain proactive role in all new business initiatives which includes lead development, attendance at meetings, providing input and guidance on proposals as well as written contributions when assigned. - Bring creative ideas to current and prospective accounts and implement these ideas; retain current accounts and grow them. - Supervise account staff in their daily activities, providing structure and instruction for balancing workloads; motivate/mentor junior staff and guide professional development
